Live streaming France-Iceland

Sunday the 3rd of July 2016

Sunday watching soccer France against Iceland

After a great Saturday evening we had an late start with an amazing brunch by Josefine. We worked on erasing a small version of the RECAP kitchen tent – with new systems for attaching the wires…

At 17:00 at large fraction of the camp settled in the sofa’s to watch the soccer game between France and Iceland. Although all wireless systems were closed so the whole bandwidth was available the connection was marginal so when France had made two goals we decided to continue with the weatherport. This is the first time we have live streamed from EGRIP.

What we have done today:

  1. Resampled snow surface profile in the clean snow area
  2. Dug and sampled from 3-4 m in the Japanize snowpit
  3. Build a four frame version of the RECAP kitchen tent
  4. Working on IT in camp
  5. Visiting the EGG2 site to check if data was collected by the computer
  6. Repaired the snowplow on the PistenBully
  7. Live streaming the soccer match France against Iceland

Weather today: Sunshine in the morning becoming overcast during the afternoon. Temperature -17 °C last night increasing to -8 °C during the afternoon. Wind 5 kt from W in the morning increasing to 12 ky from NW during the day.
