Goodbye Day

Enjoying the good weather at EGRIP before departure

After a morning with low clouds and groundfog the weather cleared around 14:00 and Skier 13 arrived at EGRIP at 14:10. Aslak, Bo, Cunde, Steff, Josefine, Mika, Markus, Nick and Oliver will leave us. Some of them are sitting here enjoying the good weather while the plane is off loading, on loading and defueling. The skier left just after 16:00 with a load of 14.500 lbs after an outstanding mission. THANKS. We will be 8 in camp until close down on Saturday.

What we have done today:

1. Receiving Skier 13
2. Unpacking the incoming cargo
3. Cleaning and organizing cargo on the surface
4. Celebrating Maris birthday

Ad 4: Emilie prepared an impressive birthday meal for Mari and we sung the Dansih birthday song ‘Idag er det Mari’s fødselsdag..’ and she chose the instruments drums, violin and tuba. We laughed a lot.

Weather today: Low clouds, ground fog and snow until 14:00 clearing with blue sky in the afternoon and overcast again in the evening. Temperatures -15 °C night and evening, increasing to -10 °C during the day. Wind 5 kn with the wind direction from W in the morning, N midday and SW in the evening.
