Preparing the scene
We have an old picture from Dye3 1976 where Sigfus and Steff are using the shallow drill for the first time. Several parts of the drill including the winch, tower and some of the drill parts are still operational. On the picture Steff and Trevor are setting the scene exactly like it was in 1976. The reconstructed picture will be taken tomorrow when the sun hopefully will add to the picture.
What we have done today:
- Three weatherports are packed
- Organizing in drill trench
- Packed equipment in snow and vapour sampling program
- Repaired and organized fuelling system
Weather today: Overcast with light snow and drifting snow. Temperatures -8 to -10 °C during night and day decreasing to -18 °C in the evening. Wind changeable between 5 – 18 kn with a wind direction changing from W in the morning to NW in the evening.
