‘Saturday night’
As we expected the next mission on Sunday we moved ‘Saturday Night’ to Friday. We used the day to continue to prepare the camp for winter and at four o’clock we all took a shower and prepared the dinner. This ‘Saturday’ Cunde and Bo made chinese dumplings, Nick and Troels a French main course with entrecote and Dorthe ice with chocolate confect and plums in whisky. We a good evening with dance starting at midnight with Sweethearts and Abba.
What we have done today:
- A final tune of the tower
- Organizing in drill trench
- Packed equipment in snow and vapour sampling program
- Finished all the science and ice core boxes for retro
- Movement of fuel tank in preparation of the final missions
- Saturday night
Weather today: Overcast with light snow and drifting snow. Temperatures -13 °C during night, -5 °C during the day and -10 °C in the evening. Wind 10 kn night and evening increasing to 15-17 kn from W during the day.
