The field office opens

The project office is located on the 2nd floor of the Kangerlussuaq International Science Support centre, which also provides accommodation for scientists on their way travelling to and from the camp.

The 2016 EastGRIP season has now started. On April 22^nd, the first field operation managers (FOMs in field lingo) will make their way to Kangerlussuaq to open the field office which until late August will be the logistics gateway for the EastGRIP operations. The first field team will arrive in Greenland on April 25^th and the put-in is planned for 26^th or 27^th of April … but as always with field logistics, plans are subject to change due to weather conditions and flight schedules. Daily reports will be posted here once the camp is open.
